~ Back From Hiatus & Catrice Million Styles LE ~ REVIEW ~ *pic heavy*

Hi guys~

Omg I've been gone for 3 weeks now, and I thought it was time to come back ^__^ Well I was actually on a unannounced hiatus.. I had a hard time at school, with grades and stuff and really didn't feel like blogging anymore so I took a break.. But now I'm back, and I'll just continue doing my reviews ^^

So today I'm going to review the limited edition Million Styles effect top coat collection by Catrice. I'm not sure if it's still available, so you might have to check at your drugstore because this collection is amazing~!

There are actually 8 polishes, but I forgot to add one while taking this photo, sorry -.-
There are 8 polishes in total and they are €2,99 a piece, which is a great deal! What Catrice says about this collection:
Get unlimited styling options with only one effect top coat! Gives every nail laquer or bare nail an extraordinary finish.
I was really exited about this collection, because it also included a flakie top coat which I didn't own yet, but heard a lot of great stuff about it. As like Catrice products, they have very suitable and creative names ^^.

So here are the polishes:

left: Miss Money Penny ; right: Shake It! Flake It!

left: Return Of Space Cowboys ; right: ¿Holo Qué Tal?!

left: Godfather Of Pearl ; right: Have An Ice Day
Now the swatches (sorry photos are a little blurry, camera didn't focus very well =.="):

left: one coat ; right: two coats (both without base)
No Smoke Without Fire is the only one I wasn't really a huge fan of. It doesn't look very good on its own, and on top of a base it just looks meh.. Not that great. And it's kind of streaky as well to be honest.. But the idea behind it is nice; creating a smokey nail effect, I guess >.<

left: one coat ; right: two coats (both without base)
Million Dollar Baby is your typical chunky glitter polish, and it has silver hexagonal as well as mini golden glitters in a clear base. The amount of glitters you get in one coat is great and of course even better with two coats ^^. The only downside to this is that, like all chunky glitter polishes, it's very hard to remove. What I always do is: I take half a cotton pad, soak it in polish remover (with acetone) and wrap it around my nail. Then I wrap aluminum foil around the pad and wait for about 5 minutes, the glitter should come off easily then :D

Miss Money Penny is just all micro-glitters and has a orange-goldish color, which kind of reminds me of MAC paintpot in Rubenesque.. This one looks great on it's own, as well as on top of a base. And I love that this can completely change the color of a nailpolish.

And here it is, my favourite out of all, the flakie topcoat ^__^ It's really pretty, the main colors are orange and green, but it depends on the light. This one looks absolutely amazing on black nailpolish, actually on top of everything. It also looks great on it's own (:

left: one coat ; right: two coats (both without base)
Return Of Space Cowboys is blue holographic glitters in a sheer charcoal-ish base. Just like the No Smoke Without Fire, this can look a little bit streaky because of the base, but after 2 coats it looks fine (:

left: one coat ; right: two coats (both without base)
Godfather Of Pearl is my second favourite I think, because it looks amazing on it's own! It is silver and blue holographic glitters in a clear base, and surprisingly the 'coverage' is really good~! When I used this, I just put one coat of GOSH's Silk (very sheer nude polish) and 2 coats of Gothfather of Pearl, and it looked awesome ^___^

left: one coat ; right: two coats (both without base)
¿Holo Qué Tal?! is, like the name already says (:, pink/purple-ish holograpic glitters in a clear base. I didn't use this that much, because it didn't really stand out for me, but I think it will look pretty on practically anything ^^

left: one coat ; right: two coats (both without base)
Have An Ice Day is silver glitters, which get all multicolored and shiney in light ^^ (if that makes sense lol >.<), in a clear base. It's absolutely amazing, and looks best on cooler toned nailpolishes, like grey. It also looks pretty on it's own, but for it to stand out you need at least 3 coats.

Now on to the swatches with a base colour underneath (all are one coat on top of the base color):

¿Holo Qué Tal?! & Have An Ice Day

My overall opinion: I think these are definitely worth the price, very good quality. They apply very nice and don't streak (with the exception of No Smoke Without Fire & Return Of Space Cowboys, but that is minimal). I didn't try all of them long enough to know how long they will last, but I think these will last about 5-6 days. I love the names, as always, and Catrice did a really good job ^___^

Well, that was my review, hope it was helpful ^___^ I'm really going to try to post more, so stay tuned~

Have a nice day & Take Caree~ \(^ v ^*)/
