Essence ~ Limited Edition ~ Cristalliced Review *pic heavy*

Ok, so in my haul post that I did before this, I said that I would do a seperate post on the Essence products, and here it is ^___^
When I first heard that this collection would be coming out, I didn't get very excited or anything, because most of the Essence LE dissapoint me. But when I went to my drugstore, I did see a few pretty things that I ended up buying. I'll start off by saying that these products didn't dissapoint me! I really wanted to get more, but most of the products were sold out, but these where the ones I wanted to get anyway.

So this is what I got:

1. Liquid Highlighter. (comes in one shade)
2. Liquid Eyeshadow. ~ 03 Ice Crystals On My Window
3. Glitter Froster ~ 01 Frosted Champagne

Ok I'm just going to review them one by one.

~ Liquid Highlighter ~  €2,49
I was really surprised by this product! Such good quality for such a low price! It is not very glittery, it leans more to the pearl side. I use this as a highlighter for bringing out the highest points on my face (cheekbones, nosebridge, cupids bow and chin), and it works great! Don't use too much, or you'll end up looking all glittery and stuff, but that I think that goes for all highlighters. I also tried mixing a little of this with my BB cream, for overall natural glowy skin. It did look good in the morning, but after a few hours there were pretty obvious little glitters visible, which I didn't like. So this is just for highlighting >.< It blends really nicely and is best applied with your fingers. Dries quickly, but not quick enough to make you struggle when you try to blend it on your face. The packaging is cute and comes with a nice sanitary pump.

~Liquid Eyeshadow ~ €2,29
I'm not very sure if I'm crazy about this product, but I do like this particular shade (03). The others weren't pretty at all.. This is a lot more shimmery than the liquid highlighter. It can be used as a shimmery base or just for highlighting the inner corner of the eyes and the browbone, which is what I use it for. This dries a lot quicker than the highlighter (sorry I keep comparing these two >.<), so you will have to apply it on one eye at a time, but that's ok. I don't really like to use shimmery eyeshadow bases, but I did try it and it did make my eyeshadow last for a pretty long time. The packaging is like the one of a lipgloss and comes with a doe foot applicator.

~Glitter Froster ~ €2,29
It says that you can use this for eyes, lips and body. I don't really know if using this on your lips or body is going to look very well, but for eyes this is really good. Especially for more dramatic looks, like a heavy smokey eye, this can look good in the inner corner or the very center of the eyelid. I don't own any glitter pigments, so I thought I should have at least one. The packaging is really cute and it has a sifter. I don't recommend taking the entire sticker off, but just poke one or two holes in it, like i did, so it won't become a big mess. The glitters are silver and very pretty. I recommend applying this with a brush, because all the glitters will end up sticking on to your finger instead of your eyelid.

All of these products contain cool undertoned shimmers, so better for winter time. Overall these are good products with a great price. If I will repurchase/buy back-ups? No, I rather save my money and buy something more expensive. But I do recommend these to people who don't want to spend a lot of money, but still get good quality products. Like I said these are Limited Edition, so they will be available for a limited time.
I hope you liked this review.. Take Caree~ ^____~

  4. I don't think I've ever seen essence products in the States before - most of my UK blogger friends always write about their products :) The highlighter looks really nice! It gives a very subtle, natural glow.

    1. You can actually get essence at Target in the States, and if you find it you should definitely give their nailpolishes a try! They have a wide range of very nice colours. And of course I'll visit your blog again ^___^
